Opis
Triangulation creates a network of triangles, and since the triangle is the most rigid geometric shape, it allows for the distribution of loads over a larger area and significantly increases resistance to bending, torsion, and other deformations. This principle is utilized in vehicle construction, including racing cars, and can therefore be applied to prepare civilian vehicles for motorsport.
The factory rear beam of the VW Golf mk1 was designed as a simple structure to ensure trouble-free operation throughout its service life. In its original form, it is not suitable for use in motorsport. The simple design has its drawbacks, which are particularly evident in the change of rear wheel geometry under increased lateral forces during sporty driving. To prevent this, triangulation of the rear beam is performed, and for this purpose, the 24rs product was created.
In motorsport, strength and low weight are crucial, which is why chromoly steel was used. Its increased strength allowed for the use of a thinner profile wall. The bearings used are the reliable Fluro Motorsport series product.
